A preview to Fanchise 1.1

by Dave Klonke on May 22, 2010

I learned long ago that an idea is never perfect. There’s always some aspect of a concept where your overall giddiness speaks louder than reality.

When you’re in the business of coming up with ideas and creative solutions you more able to identify and embrace these moments and accept them as epiphanies and opportunities to further build your product or service. As excited as I’ve been about Fanchise, my enthusiasm about its prospects is as high as it’s ever been.

Yes, I’m as jacked up about this concept as ever. I’ve been extremely lucky to have received some outstanding feedback. I truly appreciate everyone who has weighed in. For those who say they’ve loved the concept I thank you for tossing some high octane gas on my fire! And as many people who understood what I was getting at with Fanchise right away there were just as many who haven’t quite grasp the concept. I should probably send those folks even more thanks and appreciation for they are the ones who are shaping Fanchise 1.1.

So what is Fanchise 1.1? Simply put, it’s an improvement. But more specifically it’s about Fanchise taking on more of the “start-up” responsibility for each franchise. In the coming weeks I’ll share more, but right now we’re working hard on that enhanced piece — and, believe me, it’s a huge piece.

To wrap up this update, I want to ensure you that the concept of Fanchise has not changed at all. That’s the one thing that everyone who’s laid their eyes on this concept agrees with — putting the fans and entrepreneurs in charge of the sports they consume is an outstanding idea and it’s time that idea comes to fruition.

One more thing. I’d like to thank Hubert Sawyers for those outstanding words (above) of encouragement. If you’re on Twitter, follow him at @HubertGAM. While you’re there following @fanchise and me @daveklonke as well.

It is nothing to be supportive, but this idea has really stuck with me. I am still talking about it with people. I feel like I have the initial elevator pitch down to the letter. If you need any marketing help, feel free to ping me! It’d be awesome to be in on the ground floor of this.
